Parent training asks a lot of you. You’re teaching reinforcement, prompting, and routines in a family’s living room, in a way that fits their real life, and the materials you need usually don’t exist yet. So you piece it together.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You’ve made three versions of the same handout for three different families
You walk into a parent session with a plan in your head and nothing in your hands
Caregivers nod along, and then nothing changes at home
Sessions turn into you talking while the parent listens politely
You know connection matters, but the prep eats the time you'd spend building it
None of that means you're doing it wrong. It means you've been carrying the whole thing alone.

You found the research, made the slides, wrote out what you'd say, came up with examples that fit the family, and created something to leave behind. If you're like most behavior analysts, that took a few hours. Then the next family needed something different, and you did it all again.
Those hours come from somewhere. Usually it's your evenings, your documentation time, or the few minutes you had to sit with a parent and ask how they're really doing.
Prep is necessary. It just shouldn't be the part of parent training that gets the most of you.
What if the prep was already done, and you could put that time and energy into the family instead?
The Toolkit gives you 23 complete parent training lessons across 4 Kits. Each one has everything you need to teach a strategy to caregivers, coach them through practicing it, and send them home with something they'll actually use.
When the materials are already made, the time you save goes back where it matters most:

Walk in with your plan in hand and spend the session listening, noticing, and connecting with the family instead of scrambling.

Every lesson is built around guided questions and reflective listening, so caregivers help shape the plan and leave believing in it.

Practice is built into every lesson, so caregivers try the skill with you before they try it alone. That's where follow-through starts.

Screen share it to teach the strategy, with real-life examples, a troubleshooting slide for common roadblocks, and a "try it out" slide to practice together.

Your complete session guide, with guided questions, reflective listening statements, model scripts, and behavior skills training steps written right in. No more figuring out what to say next.

Once you know the flow, use this one-page version instead. Less flipping, more eye contact.

Leave this with the caregiver. It explains the strategy in plain language, gives three things to remember, and includes a simple weekly tracker to bring back next time.

Printable visuals, data sheets, and tools specific to the lesson.

A quick way for caregivers to tell you whether a strategy fits their family's values and daily life, so you can adjust before they give up on it.
Every lesson plan follows a five-part coaching flow that keeps the session a conversation.
You check in, acknowledge what the caregiver is carrying, reflect together, explore options, and end with the caregiver choosing their own next step.
When parents help build the plan, they're far more likely to use it.
The groundwork every other lesson builds on. Start here with a new family to set expectations and build trust.

Each purchase is for one behavior analyst. Email us at [email protected] for custom team pricing options.

I started as a special education teacher, and I've spent the last 15 years as a behavior analyst. Along the way I've also become a parent, and that changed how I think about parent training. I know how much a strategy has to fit real family life before anyone will stick with it, because I'm trying to make these strategies work at my own house too.
The Toolkit grew out of the materials I wish I'd had early in my career, and out of the lessons in my book, Parenting with Science. It includes resources from teaching hundreds of CEUs on parent support and goes hand in hand with our CEUs from Parenting with ABA.
I built it so you can spend less of your week making materials and more of it doing the work that changes things for families: listening, connecting, and helping caregivers feel capable.
